The early stages of my addiction to reading were basically composed of easy-to-read novels. I remember borrowing a couple of books from the library everyday just to satisfy my need to read. Nancy Drew is one of the fictional characters that I really liked during my pre-adolescent years. I could finish a single book in one sitting. I was awed at her sleuthing skills. I liked the mysterious cases that she handled and solved. Carolyn Keene was my Stephen King that time.
I do not have a copy of a single Nancy Drew book. It is good to know that there are still copies available on Amazon.com. It would be really fun to read those classic stories again.

I always love these stories like a child thou. This one goes beyond my kiddy imaginations and fantasy. It is in fact so mature in a sense that it brings out the thoughtful sensitiveness I never thought I posses. And I just can’t help but admire and look up the woman a hero.
Hers is a life that unimaginable yet true. Half broke horses do not speaks about the hardships and sorrows though it is there in almost every pages as you read them but the triumph of a once child and woman ahead of her time. So she handed the great love to her children in spite of what she has been through the joy of conquering evil in mortal world. It is heart breaking as well as heart warming story. The Hobbit and The Lord Of The Rings Boxed Set

In college, we were required to read J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy and to write a report for each book. I had to borrow the books from my roommate. I was engrossed after reading just the first few pages of The Fellowship of The Ring. Strider aka Aragorn became my most favorite character instantly. I just wish Aragorn did not end up with Arwen. I like Eowyn more than that female character which Liv Tyler portrayed on the movie adaptations.
It did not take me more than a week to finish all 4 books. It was fun to be part of the Shire. It was nice to imagine myself living in one of those Hobbit holes, and travelling across the country and meeting Ents, dwarves, elves along the way. And possibly Gollum too.

Lorna Raver plays the role of this old, but unbelievable strong, gypsy grandma named Mrs. Ganush. Right after Christine turns her down, supernatural events begin to happen.
When Christine finds out that Mrs. Ganush is the culprit for all her misfortunes, she does her best to find the b*itch and kill her, before she kills her. That's a bit confusing, huh? In the film, we see Mrs. Ganush engaging in fight scenes that are not advisable for women her age. Her gums are also very prominent all throughout the film. It is nice to have a copy of this movie on blu ray and laugh together with your friends and family while watching it.

Rent is one of my favorite Broadway musicals. The songs are very pleasing to the ears and the story is interesting too. It is about a group of young people, all of them are struggling in their own musical and artistic careers, living in the Lower East Side of New York. It won a Tony for the Best Musical category. A movie adaptation of Rent was created in 2005. Taye Diggs and Rosario Dawson are just two of the more popular members of the cast.

Spiderman Bike

I took my cousin to the mall the other day because he was becoming really bored in the house. He immediately dragged me to the toy section, and we looked at everything at least twice. He held my hand the whole time and pulled me to something that caught his eye. His face lit up when he saw the Spiderman bike on display. He just could not stop talking once we got near to it. He was smiling all the time and he kept saying "It's Spiderman! It's Spiderman!"
I let him ride the bike. He was really excited and happy when he finally sat on the seat and held the handlebars. He started to pedal, and the look on his face was priceless. He is turning 3 years old in a couple of months, so I am thinking of giving him this Spiderman bike as a gift.

I am always on the lookout for good books to read. I am an active member of a few online forums so that I can get ideas and suggestions from other people. Several years back, I came across an interesting thread on the Arts and Literature board of one of the forums. The thread title is "Book: Einstein's Dreams".
I was able to borrow a copy from a friend. I liked the novel so much that I read it again and again. The book is about how Einstein came up with the Theory of Relativity. The story does not use never-heard-of scientific and technical terms at all. Physics major or not, everything is simple and can easily be understood. It tells of the different time frame scenarios thought of by Einstein, by using the fictional story-telling approach of Alan Lightman. I want to have my own copy but the book stores here in our area do not have it. Fortunately, I found one on Amazon.com.
